10 cute stories of kids supporting the gays

The debate is always going to rage on about whether people are born gay (which they are…) or if society makes them that way, but one thing that we can definitely say for certain is how people judge the gay community is most definitely taught as these ten stories of gay support from the mouths of the young and innocent over at Kids Give Me Hope prove:

1.My little sister (6) and I went to the store for something.

We saw a gay couple holding hands and a couple teenagers messing with them. One of them said “fag” my little sister marched right up to them and shouted, “Hey, shut up!” The looks on their faces were priceless.

My little sisters words GMH.

2. My sister was on the computer for hours yesterday, and she got off so I could use it.

She left the page she was on open, so I looked at what she’d been doing.

She’d been giving a thumbs down to every one of thousands of nasty comments on an article about gay pride. I’m gay. Her acceptance GMH.

3. A few weeks ago, I told my father I was gay.

He was extremely angry and yelled at me. As I lay in bed crying, I texted my little brother to tell him how sorry I was.

A minute later, my phone received his reply: “Never apologize to me for who you are. I love you, big sis.”

His unconditional love GMH.

4. My little boy came running to me, screaming, “MOMMY, MOMMY, I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO BE WHEN I GROW UP!”

When I asked him what that was, he said “I am going to be the President so that I can make it a-okay for uncle Mike to get married!!”

My brother is gay and my son’s acceptance of him GMH.

5. I am gay and married to an incredible man, and we just adopted a six year old girl.

Today, a woman called us a disgrace.

Our daughter bravely looked at the woman, and said, “Nuh-uh! My daddies are the best ever, and there isn’t anything wrong with them!”

Melanie, your innocent and accepting LGMH.

6. Today, I was in a bus station saying goodbye to my girlfriend

Me, being a lesbian, kissed her and hugged her for a long time. After she got on the bus, a little boy comes up to me and hugs me. He said, “My mommy doesn’t like people like you, but I do because you’re really pretty.”

This little kid GMH

7. I had just told my parents I was lesbian and they refused to talk to me

I ran to my room, crying for hours. Then my 4 year old sister came and knocked on the door and said ‘I love you. Does that make me a lesbian?’

Her innocence and love GMH

8. My daughter and I were walking through a park when we spotted a lesbian couple kissing

I was afraid she was going to say something rude, because she was only 4 years old.

She says to me “Mommy look! A real fairy tale couple. They’re so pretty!”

Her acceptance GMH

9. Today I was at the mall with some friends

A little girl who could not be older then eight years old was wearing a “All the cool girls are lesbians” shirt with her mom and sister.

To have grown up hiding my sexuality and seeing a little kid wearing that shirt means she understands and GMH

10. I finally got asked out by the girl of my dreams

Shes black, and I’m white. In Texas, lesbian inter-racial couples can be a big hate target.

Going on our first date, we kept getting hateful comments and stares, until a little boy walked up to our table and told us that we were the most beautiful couple he’s ever seen. Future generations, GMH.

What Does Queer Mean?

Queer is an umbrella term for sexual minorities that are not heterosexual, heteronormative, or gender-binary.In the context of Western identity politics the term also acts as a label setting queer-identifying people apart from discourse, ideologies, and lifestyles that typify mainstream LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual) communities as being oppressive or assimilationist.
